The Christmas Train That Never Came is a Tanner & Tyler time-travel mystery filled with Christmas traditions, railroad adventure, detective clues, and the history of Harvest Junction.
During the modern-day Harvest Junction Christmas Festival, Tanner and Tyler discover an old railroad ticket beside the mysterious silver conductor’s watch: Christmas Eve — 1952 / Final Christmas Train — 11:52 P.M. Moments later, the watch carries them back to the first Christmas celebration shared by Harvest Junction and the newly opened Trainland.
But at 11:52, the Christmas train doesn’t arrive. It is carrying passengers, donated toys and winter clothing, railroad payroll—and the new depot bell that is supposed to begin a Harvest Junction Christmas tradition. Soon the boys discover a missing switch key, suspicious boot prints, a hidden red lantern, and evidence that someone may have deliberately sent the train onto the wrong track.
With the train racing toward a dead-end siding, Tanner and Tyler must follow the clues, uncover the saboteur, and help save not only the Christmas train—but a tradition that will still be remembered generations later.
